What are seasoned logs?

Seasoned logs are cut and dry-stored (ie undercover) for a long period of time, usually over 12 months. During this time the moisture contained in the wood evaporates off into the atmosphere. This allows the log to burn hotter and more efficiently than unseasoned logs.

How should I store my firewood?

If you store your logs in a covered, dry and ventilated space you can’t go wrong. If you are storing them in a coal shed remember to put them on a pallet so they don’t get damp underneath. The drier you can keep them the better they will burn.

What do the bags weigh?

Because real wood fuels can contain water (which evaporates reducing the weight of the product over time), log suppliers are not permitted by UK law to sell wood based on weight. Instead, logs and firewood are sold by volume. All packaging volumes used by C-Logs are based on a loose volume equivalent measure.

Does your price include delivery?

Delivery is free within a 15 mile radius of our base on Bromley Lane, Much Hadham, SG10 6HU. If you are interested in ordering from C-Logs but are outside our free delivery area please call 01279 843045 to enquire about delivery costs to your location.

Does the price include VAT?

All our prices include VAT @ 5%

Are the bulk bags and barrow bags returnable?

Yes we take a £5 deposit per bag. This will be refunded when the bag is returned to us.

Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?

We require all goods to be signed for upon delivery, unless prior agreement has been given. Please let us know at check-out if you are happy for your delivery to be left if you are not home.

What will happen after I have placed my order?

Once your order has been placed you will receive a phone call from our office to arrange a suitable delivery time.
